Testing testing 1 2 3 ...

Hi peeps!

Yes, it's me! Back again after a little over a year. I've missed you all and hope some of you at least are still hanging in there with me.

My friend Summer's blog is having traffic troubles. I hear in the blog community that this is happening with other cat bloggers, too. So I thought I'd better try mine out, because MK and I were worried that the link was no longer in service.

If there's anyone out there that still subscribes, please let us know if you can comment. MK's been thinking about reviving my blog because we DID enjoy posting my adventures for you all to experience and learn about!

But we got slack (ahem, MK got slack. I've been here all along and would have been updating had I had AN OPPOSABLE THUMB! Why can't we get THOSE on Amazon????)

All the kits here are well, but last week we were told Boudicca was diabetic. MK and DK are trying the food change route first, before they decide whether to do insulin injections. DK can't bear…

Today's My Gotcha! Day!

Guess what today is??

MY GOTCHA DAY!

Yep. It's also DK's birthday (psst ... he's 60!  MK says she can't believe he's that old. MOL MOL)

Brian from "Brian's Home" took this picture of me when he put the post on his blog searching for someone to adopt me (of course, MK was seduced right away, by my beauty AND my story).



MK drove to Charlotte NC on this day EIGHT YEARS AGO (can you believe???) and picked me up at the hotel where my foster lady was waiting. A REALLY bad thunderstorm happened the whole way home to Reidsville (where we lived at the time).

The drive home was AWFUL but I was VERY brave. When I got to my new home, I took right to it and I've never looked back.

Here is what I looked like that day. MK took the pic at the hotel.




She could see right away that I was a real beauty. My eye was REEAAALLLYY wide, too, because there was SO much going on and so many peeps walking by my crate to watch! They didn't know it was ME!

My Return!

Laura and Taffeta Rose sent me a message today on my highly-neglected blog, saying they knew I was out there, somewhere, and asking for a post. I'm glad you did, ladies.

It *has*  been too long and MK and I *have* been ... well, slack (she has, anyway. She's the one with the thumbs, not me!)  We've been keeping track with a few of you over the last few months when we have been able to. But it's time for my COMEBACK!

So, while MK transcribes right now, as you can see the Carter tanning bed is open, and I really must get back to my tanning. We're SO glad our sun has finally seemed to find NC again and no one is happier than us kits.

Boudicca goes to the vet in 30 minutes ... glad it's not ME!

Damming Evidence

First, a warning: The following blog post contains images that may not be appropriate for kittens. 

There was a 'nip party recently. Nearly everyone was there. I sent MK in to take notes and incriminating pictures because I thought it was time for a "true crime" blog entry.

As with most crime, things start out simply, innocently. A few curious cats see something and they investigate. Then THIS starts to happen:


Oh yeah?

Sadly, this is a myth. As MK snapped more evidence with the flashy-thing, events started to get a little out of paw.  Tempers began to fray over "stash" ownership.

It got progressively worse. (I told you this was only for the strong of stomach).


Finally, things started to slowly de-escalate. The floor was littered with prone bodies.


Geeze. Talk about STONED.



In the end, some kitties resisted. Boudicca stayed safelynear Morticia's stuffed pepper.


Note: Nearly EVERYTHING makes her vomit. Or pretend to.









Ray remained above it all.

Dingle Dangle

Happy Thursday peeps!!

It's such a beautiful day here today - MK says spring is here! She's very excited. She's been very jealous of us being able to sunbathe whenever we want and she can't because, sometimes, it's sunny but not warm enough for her to go to our pool.

Tama and the gang at The Poupounette have really inspired me. I already have the sunbathing thing down pat cat but those Abys et al are MASTERS and MISTRESSES OF ...

THE DANGLE!

So after much practice (I have to do it at night when MK isn't around with that clicky-thing. Didn't want any pics until I had it PERFECT.)

And .... ta da!

Here is my dangle.  It's sexy, yet casual - nonchalant, even. Virtually SCREAMS "laid back blackie".

I'm quite proud. I worked very hard. MK was scrambling for her clicky-thing! I let her photo me.

Whadda ya think?
