Office Kittens
Mornin' Peeps!
It became clear to MomKatt this morning that Ray is an "executive type".
See what you think.
He's got his laptop, a printer/scanner, a 2-drawer filing cabinet, his Panasonic phone, a sleekly modern desk lamp, a cat-shaped paperweight, a calendar, a pin-up board for schedules and shopping lists for cat fud, a stuffed Tigger for "executive stress relief" and ... PAPERWORK!
I think he's ready to "do business", don't you? (As opposed to "doing his business"! MOL)
Most importantly, like the rest of us kits in the Carter Clowder, he's got STAFF!
Meanwhile, Sister Rachel feels she's already put her time in today and wants to get the heck outta Dodge for a long weekend!
(This "executive escape attempt" really did occur this morning! Little bugger's ready herself to head on downstairs & take over the house! I, Selina, was sitting outside the closed office door, wondering what all was going on in there, when this little black THING suddenly squeezed past MomKatt, who fortunately had time enough to shoo me into the guest room next door and shut THAT door before Little Miss All-Over-The-Place got in there and realized that "piles of stuff" are FUN to dive into and lose oneself in when MomKatt has to go to work!)
She's fast, that one!
Tomorrow is a "Fur-Low Furriday" for MomKatt, so she's planning to camp out with the kittens in the office nearly all day. Plus she can assist Ray in some "capitalist ventures" (a/k/a balancing her checkbook). MOL Morticia might even get to meet them tomorrow. For some reason, she doesn't trust me ...

PS - MomKatt here. No, I trust Selina. But I think right now, where Ray is in his development, a "bouncy Tigger cat" isn't exactly what he needs to face. ;-)

ReplyDeletemaybe the bouncy Tigger cat can meet the executive escape artist :) mom says she is still amazed at the speed of kittens - our tiniest one made it past her the other day and half way down the all (fortunately she got distracted by Tommy's mancatliness and mom was able to grab her).

ReplyDeleteCK, I know. This morning (Fri.) I just took the cat by the whiskers & picked him UP. He allowed me about 5 seconds holding him before he wanted "down". That is what I'm afraid of: if he doesn't get over this aversion to being touched/held no one will want to adopt them as a pair because of that, on TOP of his eye issues. Rachel would find a home in no time flat, but Ray ... I just have to be patient.
