Wonderful Wednesday - Foster Ray Pics/News!


(MomKatt Laura here:  Finally got a decent shot of his face in the first picture.)

And HUGE: this morning before I left for work, I was sitting in front of the ottoman (where he's sitting in the top photo - in the second photo, he's sitting atop the matching chair) resting my right hand on it about 3-4 in. from Ray as I've been doing as part of my attempts to get him to allow me to touch/pet him.  Talking to him very softly, telling him the bad times were over and that he was never going to have to go through anything horrible like his past life ever again. 

Suddenly, he reached out his right paw and patted/batted my index & middle fingers!  THREE TIMES!

I was over the moon with happiness!  This is REALLY big for him!  I'm so proud!

Gonna cuddle this kitten if it kills me!

Rachel is her usual, rapid-fire self.  She's had the photographic limelight for a few days now, so today is Ray's turn.

Oops, sorry Selina!  Yes, you can come in today, too. 

After all, it IS your blog, sweetheart!

    Hi Selina! I've missed you but know your family is excited to have Ray and Rachel and they should be. Tell Ray Charles that MomKatt is never gonna tell him to Hit the Road Jack unless he's going to another loving family. They're up to 140 likes so I hope something works out even though I bet DadKatt won't want to give them up.

      CK I think DadKatt is deliberately staying OUT of the office! MOL Maybe he doesn't want to allow himself to get too close - he DID make MomKatt promise ......

    We are so glad that you have Rachel and Ray there with you. We know you will all be such good friends really soon. Sounds like they are already getting used to you. At least they aren't hiding under the bed. We were thrilled to hear that you were taking them. Take care.

      Thank you Marg! We love the little rascals! (And frankly, we're glad they're in our house too! It's nice to have kittens around - been awhile since MomKatt's had "wee ones" - I was pretty grown up by the time I'd come to her from these same folks.

A Journey - Selina Carter, April 9, 2011 - March 6, 2024

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. I've always been a big (not fat, just big) beautiful one-eyed thang, as y'all know, so this wasn't normal. It's that MomKatt radar - I know all of y'alls pawrents have it. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change!
