FUUURRRRIIIIIDAY!

YAY!  Nearly the weekend - I can SMELL it!

I bounded downstairs this morning and was at the Bird TV post at the side window of our living room, surprising MomKatt, who wandered in to watch a little hooman TV while she waited for DadKatt to shower.  (His car's in the shop so he's taking her to work & using her MINI.)  Got some GREAT cuddle/petting time on the sofa while she watched her DVD.  THEN ... I attacked the blinds behind the sofa but she wouldn't let me!   How come?  They rattle and they're plastic so they bend easily ... seems like a great toy to me, but then again, hoomans' versions of toys and cats' versions of toys are often two very different things, I'm finding.

Then they left.  :(  I hate that part.

    Never mind Selina - get some good blind attacking in while your mom is at work - just leave them tidy when you've finished!

    I hate when mama leaves, too. Those blinds are fun to play wif, I know! Kit and I haf ruined ours!

    PS Mom says try a spot of plain meat baby food to hide Feisal's liquid meds in. Does it taste awful? Put in small gelcap and pop down throat - followed by a bite of food.

    I think those blinds sound like great cat toys! BTW, my human also has a MINI. I hate it, every time I get in it, I wind up at the vet's.

    How wonderful Selina, enjoying morning cuddles with MomKatt. :)
    I have a little brofur, Mo, he lives with Mom's daughter (my first mommy) and he loved to lick his mommy's blinds. But after a while, he managed to break off 4 or 5 inch pieces of the blinds. So his mom replaced the blinds with light out curtains!!
    If you do not get caught, then it is okay; but when they catch you--Moms like to take the fun toys away.

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
