Easy Sunday

Hi Peeps!

Not a whole lot to meow about today.  As you can see, I'm taking it EASY, since it's Sunday.  Pink Bed's gotten quite a workout this morning.

DadKatt just came in to say some "severe thunderstorms" are heading our way, apparently, this afternoon.  We just hope they hop over us & don't affect our power!  Our window AC unit is still working its little heart out - Monday, our regular AC will be fixed, they told MomKatt on Friday.  I don't believe them.  Apparently a hooman ordered two parts and only one of them showed up that afternoon.  SOMEone dropped the ball but MomKatt doesn't think it was the two techs working on the problem 'cause they've been REALLY nice & helpful when they've come around.  (She says Sears' dispatching people, however, "suck

".  Her word.)

Peppers was my stand-in today while MomKatt did her "sculpt & tone" DVD.  He circled around her like a shark while she did her squats & leg work, carrying his TieDie Teaser in his mouth the whole time ("aerobic dragging" he calls it), then helped her with her ab crunches by sitting atop her head.  It must've worked out - I heard her giggling.  Would Gilad have allowed kitties during the filming of his workouts (that's the DVDs she does - shot in Hawaii, too!)?  He's let parrots hang around on certain workouts ...

Me, I played with Morticia's teaser a little this morning & yesterday morning.  MomKatt's encouraging me to be more active so I'll come out of my shell.  As of yesterday morning, she's feeling a LOT better about me.  I've been moving around more, and starting to play a bit more.  I just need to adjust to the NEXT bit of good news, which is ...

Boudicca IS now in the basement 24/7!  She actually likes it better there, the 'rents think.  It's her territory entirely - no other cat goes down there - and DadKatt goes down to keep her company & futz on his PC and his ham radio.  She really isn't making any effort to attempt to come back up into the main house & has been reclined in her bed whenever Mom or DadKatt have gone down there.  So.  I think this will work 'til they can find her a 'rent of her own.

Oh, hang on a sec wouldja?

TEASER!

Well, enough of that.  I'm kickin' back ... ya'll keep cool & Happy Sunday!

Peace out!

PURRS!
Selina

  1. Oh Boudicca, I so want you to have a 'rent of your own, darling girl. And Selina, I want you happy and secure too. Since I don't know which way to purr..I'll purr BOTH ways for both of you. I missed out on why you two don't get along.

Your daddy is a HAM? Mom is studying to get her ticket. All the company here set her back a week and a half but she'll be starting again today or tomorrow. Her Dad was a HAM, her ex was a HAM, her oldest boy is a HAM..she needs to get with the program.

  7. Paws crossed that you don't get smacked by that storm!

I helped my human work out today - it was a blend of light cardio, yoga and Pilates. There were lots of opportunities for me to walk all around her and rub up against her legs. And she does not complain as much as when I do that while she is holding dumbbells! In fact, I get the feeling she does not want me around at ALL when she pulls out the weights. Hmph.

    1. The storm passed over us, Sparkle. Thankfully! Mom&DadKatt were REALLY concerned that it was going to be one like the ones in Richmond VA, and cause us to lose our power. Until that AC is fixed, we DON'T need that! But the fates were kind to us! They must like kitties!

  13. AC, anyone? My woman is very thankful for ours. Near record (60 years worth) heat to which we aren't at all accustomed. We still love laying on the bed upstairs, where it's warmer, wrapped in our fuzzy blanket or on top of the (hot) computer monitor. Happy Furrth!
