How I Spent My Sunday - by Selina

First ... a little nomming ...  (MomKatt calls this our "hooman flesh" playtime):

Then, I watched a little TV ("Foyle's War" on streaming Netflix) ...



After all that, I prepped to take a nice, long Lap Nap while MomKatt read:



All in all, a totally nonproductive Sunday well spent by ME!

Oh! here's the "after" photo of the "hooman flesh" part of the afternoon ...

Clearly, MomKatt was DELISH!

Hummm ... today is DadKatt's last "stay-cation" day at home ... wonder if he tastes as good as MomKatt does?  I might just have to investigate that after he eats his lunch then falls asleep for his afternoon kip on the sofa!  (He never intends to fall asleep - or at least, what's what he claims.)  He is particularly vulnerable at these times, I have discovered.

Hope everyone else had just as good a Sunday as I did!

      He would have to lie down for me to do that, and he doesn't usually do that on the sofa. MomKatt sits, Indian-style, facing the opposite arm of the sofa, so that way I CAN climb into HER lap (which is what I normally do when I'm there). DadKatt sits facing the TV and ... well ... *whispers* there's a bit of a belly there ... *ahem coff coff*

      HEY! I was trying to be tactful! Just sayin', DadKatt ... MOL!

      Me, too, Katie! Just a little - I never hurt her. She even giggles when I do it (but I suspect it's 'cause she says I have these funny faces when I do! MOL)

    I think my human tastes icky so I never bite or lick her. Bleagh! Give me chicken any day (and trust me, humans do NOT taste like chicken!).

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Hi peeps! Yes, it's me! Back again after a little over a year. I've missed you all and hope some of you at least are still hanging in there with me. My friend Summer's blog is having traffic troubles. I hear in the blog community that this is happening with other cat bloggers, too. So I thought I'd better try mine out, because MK and I were worried that the link was no longer in service. If there's anyone out there that still subscribes, please let us know if you can comment.
