I Got a New Pair of Shoos!

PEEPS!  Boy have I missed you guys!  I'm back!  Did you miss me?

 MomKatt went shopping last week & got NEW SHOES!  Now, in case you didn't know it, I have a shoo fetish, and these are just DA BOMB!  They're leather, and smell REALLY GOOD!  Plus, they are WAY more substantial than her summer sandals, which I regularly wrestled with in the dining room after she'd come home from work & take them off.  They even have cool little zippers on the inside side (does that make sense?)  I've dallied with those a little, and will get to chewing on them at some point, but right now, wrastling with the whole shoo is the best thing to do.  

What do you think?  Are they "me"?  MomKatt thinks they accentuate the brown in my coat.  (She's taken to calling me "Minky Kitty" 'cause she says she's really seein' the lush sable underlying my black furs lately!)

And, if THAT wasn't enough, yesterday?  She got me this new, crazy-butt cat-leopard-thing print TEASER!

No more playing with that lame-butted, bare-nekked STICK!  No, I got me a fabric snake to hunt now AND the best thing?  There is a FEATHER and a BELL on the end of the snake!  How cool is that?!?  I was meowing my head off last night after she brought it home & took it out of the shopping bag!  And you can bet I was right there by the dining room table this morning, ready for some TEASER TIME!

      Katie - MomKatt was keeping up with your posts while they were gone to Rocky Mt. last week & we were being cat-sat by my Uncle Joel. She just LOVES you & says you are SOOO pretty! (Which you are!)

      Oh that's Peppers' MO, CK. He drags stuff around (tho not at 3 AM) yowling with it in his mouth. His current love is a purple sparkle ball ... silly boy.

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
