Happy Birthday to meeeee ....



Oh hi Peeps!

I was just singing a little tune to myself ... hey, it's my BIRTHDAY today!  I am three years old!  (Well, best guess, but that's ok I'll take three.)

What did I get for my birthday, you ask?  Well, this morning I was TRYING to get THIS:


Doesn't that look scrumptious?  It's a Turkey Sausage Muffin!  MomKatt has one every morning with her coffee.

Did I get it, you ask?

Well ... no.  It was MomKatt's breakfast and, really, what grateful kitty steals her MomKatt's breakfast?  (Never mind the Livia "Stealing the Muffin" incident last year; she was just crazy, anyway.  MOL)  Besides, I'd had a little taste of Blue Buffalo Wilderness Duck gooshy fud earlier .... I'm not sure how I feel about that flavor.  I think I might have preferred the muffin, but MomKatt also didn't want me eating anything too "rich" - whatever THAT means.

Besides, soon something else was going on to my left that I had to pay attention to.

What the ... ?!?

Oh for Pete's sake, it's just SASHA.

She's in shadow under the table there - you can just barely see her.  LURKING.  She loves to "lurk".  MomKatt says she's our "ghost kitty". 

Humph ... bet she's trying to distract me from the sausage muffin.  Which smelled SOOOOOOO good!

 The long & short of it is my b'day celebration will be delayed until Sunday, because MomKatt is leaving to visit my grandmother this weekend.  They are going to the Ava Gardner Museum in Smithfield, NC, tomorrow.  (Yes, she was a North Carolina "Grab Town" girl, as the region was once known.)  So I'm chillin' at home for the next day or two until she gets back ... snoopervising DadKatt.

And waiting for my birthday pawty.

"Happy birthday to me ... happy birthday to me ... I'll chase all my siblings ... but they won't catch me!"

(Oh, I threw up again yesterday, but I'm acting normally otherwise.  The pawrents are keeping strict watch on me.  I am eating, drinking and ... um ... performing bodily functions like normal ... so they hope it was just a "one off" or something.  DadKatt has emergency vet contact instructions just in case ... )

    Happy, Happy Birthday to you Selina and we hope you have a pawty when you feel a lot better and also when the evil eyes have forgotten about your upset tummy - we all get them from time to time including the Moms and Dads. In the meantime have a nipitini and a slice of cake.

    Happy Birthday sweet girl!!! We would say try to con the dad into extra treats, but all things considered, that may not be a good idea. :) So just relax and enjoy yourself.

    Happy birthday, Selina! What is with humans, saying food is "too rich" for kitties and then THEY just scarf it down? Something is Not Right there.

    Paws crossed that your little problem earlier was a one-off like you said, and you can celebrate your birthday on Sunday without any, um, repercussions!

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! Hi peeps! Yes, it's me! Back again after a little over a year. I've missed you all and hope some of you at least are still hanging in there with me. My friend Summer's blog is having traffic troubles. I hear in the blog community that this is happening with other cat bloggers, too. So I thought I'd better try mine out, because MK and I were worried that the link was no longer in service. If there's anyone out there that still subscribes, please let us know if you can comment. MK's been thinking about reviving my blog because we DID enjoy posting my adventures for you all to experience and learn about! But we got slack (ahem, MK got slack.
