A Big Thanks/Hope Chest News!
Hi Peeps!
MomKatt and I just wanted to (a) apologize for not being around much lately and, more importantly, (b) say a great big THANK YOU to everyone who's "pawing it forward" about our foster kittens, Ray Charles and Rachel. We're really hoping that the more press they get, the greater the chances will be that they will enchant some as-yet unsuspecting human into falling head over paws in love with them and giving them the "forever home" they both so richly deserve.
So .... THANK YOU! I won't name anyone here, because MomKatt's brain isn't the best on the "retentive" angle, and I'm sure she'd end up accidentally leaving someone out, and we don't want anyone upset. However, you all know who you are and just know that we are so very grateful for all your efforts, contributions, help, assistance with blogging formatting questions, etc. - ANYTHING that you have provided for their "Hope Chest" or done on your blogs or Twitter or Facebook accounts, or even if you've just encouraged us and let us know that you're thinking about these two little kittens and sending positive energy to them that all their dreams will finally come true!
It all means more to us than we could ever tell you and we will CONTINUE to need your encouragement and support in the coming days/weeks as we wait for THE RIGHT PERSON to come along!
Another item has been added to the kittens' Hope Chest. Hazel Lucy's Tranquility Blankets & Scarves has kindly agreed to contribute one of her WORLD-FAMOUS, hand-crocheted with love Trankie Blankies and several collars to go along with the kittens! Miss Julie, the force behind the blankies, said yesterday to MomKatt that she'd contribute after MomKatt asked if she would! How's that for sweet, eh? (She's EVEN going to make the blanket BIGGER than the normal size, so they both can share it!)
We have two of these blankets ourselves - and MomKatt had Miss Julie make a human-sized one for her a few years ago - and we can all attest they are THE BEST blankets on the planet! They are SO SOFT and, after the first washing, they become EVEN SOFTER (if that were possible, MomKatt says).
Miss Julie uses all kinds of colors and will send you samples to help you select the color blanket that you would like made. Please take a minute to visit her page and check them out. (If you look through the pictures of all the "satisfied kitties" posing on their HL Blankies, you'll see my sisfur, Sasha, and my angel brofur, Feisal, posing on their blankets!)
Hazel Lucy is Miss Julie's angel kitty. She served as the original "Quality Control Officer" until her trip to The Bridge.
Currently, Miss Julie's kitty, Mazie, has assumed the mantle of QC Officer and, from all indications, is just as committed to quality as Hazel Lucy was!
As you can tell from that photo, Mazie's sharp eyes miss nothing! Rest assured, no blanket goes untested by her before it leaves their production facilities!
Miss Julie also makes her blankets to donate to shelters and, currently, she's making some to donate to Blind Cat Rescue right here in North Carolina! (She's donated blankets to them in the past, too.)
THANK YOU MISS JULIE AND MAZIE for your contribution to Ray Charles' and Rachel's "Hope Chest"!
Also: Don't forgt to visit The Finding Home Tour page with MORE information about Ray Charles and Rachel! Lots of folks "pawing it forward"! :)
PURRS ya'll!
Love,
Selina & MomKatt Laura

I love love love the idea of a Hope Chest and I think it helps as a Welcome to my new Pawrents when prospective pawrents come to see the babies. I just love it.
ReplyDeleteKatie, yes, we do too! It speaks of all the support that adoptable cats/kittens are getting from the people helping to place them! :)
