Hi, I'm Selina, formerly known as Faith!

And I welcome you to my blog!  This is gonna be all about ME!  Meanwhile, my typist (MomKatt) will be learning how to make my pages all clean & nice & pretty! 

My story was first told on here by a great kitty named Brian and his two-legger, and this is where MomKatt first saw my picture, read my story and made her mind up to give me a home!  And SO many wonderful, caring people expressed an interest in keeping up with me once I got to my new furever home and acquired my new name (named after Selina Kyle in the "Batman" stories, Catwoman's human name) that MomKatt decided, once she got time, that she was going to start a blog for me so that anyone that was interested could follow my story and my adventures in my new life.

So ... without further ado ... and hopefully with some help from Brian's human (MomKatt's already warned him she's going to be bugging him about fixing up my pages, etc.) ... here's ME!

    Hi Selina, that is such a pawsome name. We are big fans of Catwoman here. We will be glad to help you with blogging if we can. You probably don't remember us (Scylla is Brian's girlfriend) but we meet you on Brian's blog when you were still called Faith.

    We haven't counted but there seems to be zillions of cats in the blogosphere. You can keep us with most of us here http://www.blog.catblogosphere.com/ They usually list birthday and when someone is sick and stuff.

    We are so excited that you have started a blog Selina. We knew you way back. We never met you but I was asked to keep you until you found a home but I had just taken a special needs kitty and so didn't have room . You sure are looking great and we are so excited that you have such a great home. We would be glad with any questions about blogging too. Our Mom is not very techy but we could try to help anyway. Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. I've always been a big (not fat, just big) beautiful one-eyed thang, as y'all know, so this wasn't normal. It's that MomKatt radar - I know all of y'alls pawrents have it. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
