We stopped in and left purrs for Lucy. Like you, we hope she eats and feels better soon.
Taffy saw the V-E-T on Thursday. She is having blood and poo tests. She didn't eat well Friday or Saturday. I've been hand feeding her, but today she has eaten some more of her regular food. We'll see what the tests say.
Hello, peeps! It's me, Angel Selina! I hope this finds all of you well. I've been at The Bridge for a little over a year now. I have a question to put to you all & please give us your feedback. Momkatt hates that my blog has lain fallow for all this time without a voice. She has been seriously thinking about having Rachel take over and start posting. After all, she's a one-eyed kitty, too, so she knows my vibe but she's got her own unique voice that is just wonderful. She could keep you all updated on the present-day Carter Clowder and more, if you are still interested in everyone's antics. What do you all think? Please let MomKatt know. She's really missing me today and I think she needs some votes of confidence. Would you like for Rachel to take over in my honor? Purrz! Selina
Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. I've always been a big (not fat, just big) beautiful one-eyed thang, as y'all know, so this wasn't normal. It's that MomKatt radar - I know all of y'alls pawrents have it. That's why she scooped me up that da...
Hi, MomKatt Laura here. Please purr for Selina. I've taken her to the vet Fri. afternoon and this morning. She's got a bacterial infection - she's been throwing up & "off her feed" since late Thurs. evening. They've pumped her full of antibiotics as of this morning, taken X-rays which, fortunately, showed nothing that she might have ingested. They did bloodwork this AM - her white cell count showed the bacterial infe ction; she's gotten antibiotic shots (the one that lasts for about 10-14 days), sub-q fluids and something else that I can't think of right now 'cause I'm so addled. She's on bland food (baby food, canned chicken), and I'm to offer her nothing until later today; emergency vet said Blue Buffalo wet would probably be OK if she'd eat some. She's pretty low - we're keeping a close watch on our one-eyed baby! I'm not really thinking in or speaking English well right now so I hope this is ...
