Fun Friday!

It was actually a fun Friday morning for me, AND a fun Thursday night!  As you can see, this is me (taken this morning) playing with the pitiful teaser (a MUCH better one is upstairs - I'm getting MomKatt to get DadKatt to take more pics of me later this weekend playing with IT.)

  

But anyway, I digress.

I was playing with the pitiful (just HOW pitiful it is can readily been seen!) teaser this morning AND, last night, DadKatt came home late (he was out shopping for HDTVs ...) so MomKatt & I played with the really nice purple-and-black-feathered teaser upstairs in her office!  I was all OVER it!  Purring and pouncing and stalking and charging!  Just like my "normal" self (when She Who Must Not Be Named isn't around).  MomKatt took the little bell off of the upstairs teaser and now SWMNBN doesn't know when I'm playing with it and, consequently, can't come upstairs to sit outside the office door and plague me with her presence!  I can enjoy playing in complete freedom!

Then I climbed all over MomKatt in the purple chair as she sat trying to read her biography of Charles Dickens.  I was MOST insistent - why read some silly old book about a dead Victorian writer when you can be petting ME!!!!!  I was all UP in her face and standing on her chest ... 

I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!

The best part is that MomKatt has a 4-day weekend coming up and will be home with us until Wednesday!

    Oh, I do hope you enjoy your four day weekend. There should be lots of time for playing and petting over four days. But may I suggest... hide all the books!

    My human has a NO day weekend! Which is just as well, because the less she is here, the less she bothers me with the stupid camera.

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! Well(er) Wednesday

Good morning pee ps and happy Wednesday! It' s me, your favorite uniocular kitty, back at the helm and, if not "rarin'" to go, at least feeling WAY better than I was almost thi s time last week. How do we k now I'm better?  Photos do n't lie.  Here I am this morning, doing my favorite morning activity :  snoopervising the coffee-making M omKatt . Se e, MomKatt's pretty bleary in the AMs, having just gotten up & all.  So sometimes an "extra eye" is needed, just to mak e sure she gets it right.  Yeah, I got one of them! ( No, MomKatt, the coffee goes in t he filter, NOT the water!  MOL) And, of course, the highlight of my morning java snoopervision is catching, and then applying my Patented Smacky Paws to, th e Wil d Coffee Scoop (those can be d angerous when cornered) ... thusly.
