Monday ME!

Morning Peeps!

 I hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mom&DadKatt are REALLY happy 'cause their Detroit Tigers are 2-0 in the AL championship series right now & headed to their home turf for Game 3 on Tues. night with MomKatt's favorite picther, Justin Verlander, scheduled to pitch!

 Me?  Well, I don't care so much about baseball but it DOES garner me LOTS of lap time!  Back to back games Sat. AND Sun. meant *I* got lots of lovins & lap time with MomKatt.  (The only down side being when DadKatt gets "excited" about something that happens during the game.  He yells and wakes me up!)

 But they were sad to see Mr. Jeter break his ankle.  He's the only Yankee MomKatt likes to watch play!  (He's also doing his medical stuff for it in Charlotte!  How cool is THAT, she says?)

 Anyway, here's ME on a rainy Monday morning in North Carolina ... MomKatt wishes she were home with me RIGHT now giving me MORE laptime!  I hope everyone has a pawsome Monday!

      *giggles* Baseball Austin. Mom&DadKatt are Detroit Tigers' fans! They are in the American League Championship series right now, which will decide which 2 teams go to the World Series. Big stuff!

      MomKatt is more laid back, but her favorite guy, Justin Verlander, is pitching tonight so ... I may be "ejected" if he pitched a purr-fect shutout game like he did the other night against Oakland! MOL

    Bet DadKatt was enjoying that blown call that led to 2 runs, not that we could even score 1 run. Concats to your Tigers winning the series. I've waved the white towel.

      CK, yeah that *was* pretty exciting! Well, it ain't over 'til it's over, as another famouse ballplayer once said! And more lap time tonight in Game 3 for me so that's all I care about! MOL (That and lying on MomKatt's REALLY warm, fuzzy Detroit snuggle blankie!)

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. I've always been a big (not fat, just big) beautiful one-eyed thang, as y'all know, so this wasn't normal. It's that MomKatt radar - I know all of y'alls pawrents have it. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
