'Ticia Tuesday & Gomez Update

Meowlo, peeps!

For your Tuesday viewing pleasure, here is my sisfur, Morticia, for "'Ticia Tuesday".

She'd been taking a bit of a snooze on the bed this morning , so pardon her sleepy expression.

Here is a profile shot:

Now, to other kitty news:  GOMEZ UPDATE!!!!

Uncle Bill called MomKatt last night.  We hadn't wanted to say anything about this but, when he called Sunday night, he was VERY worried because Gomez did not show up that night for his dinner.  He said then that, in the year he's been feeding him, this was only the second time that Gomez hadn't shown.  The really worrisome part was:  they have coyotes in that area.

MomKatt & he agreed that night to be optimistic.  She told him that Oliver, our resident "porch panther", often goes on walk-about sometimes, and that she's learned to be patient and he will show back up in 1-2 days.  She said she just *knew* the same thing would happen with Gomez.

But of course, sitting at work yesterday, she worried & thought of Gomez all day long.  And, sure enough, Uncle Bill called her cell phone when she was on her way home last night to tell her that Gomez had come back for his dinner yesterday!  The happiness in his voice - not to mention the relieved tone of voice - was just overflowing, and MomKatt was ecstatic, too.

He then said that he has a friend who is going to help capture Gomez so they can get him to the vet this week for neutering, shots, a check-up, etc.  They both agreed that they hoped he didn't have any nasties that couldn't be fixed and Uncle Bill told MomKatt that Gomez "couldn't get enough love"!  (Sounds like this little one-eyed kitty!)  He said he can do anything with Mr. Gomez now, including turning him around and upside down!  (For the record?  No one's turning ME upside-down.  Sorry, MomKatt.)

So that's really good news for the socialization question and, of course, the more Gomez gets accustomed to being handled, the better!  (I mean, I LOVE it, so it's not surprising a relation of mine does, too.  Maybe he, too, will end up being a lap cat!)

So that's where we are.  Uncle Bill is going to keep MomKatt apprised of the situation & what's happening, and when we know something, YOU'LL know something.

But I must say we both are VERY excited about this and VERY much want this handsome boy to find his forever home, if he can't stay with Uncle Bill.

Lastly, DadKatt got the message LOUD and clear from yesterday's post, and has promised MomKatt he will Email the cat tree photos to her TONIGHT.  So ... stay tuned!

Meanwhile ... I SEE YOU!

Ya'll have a great Toosday!  Peace out!
PURRS!
