Surveying My Kingdom

Morning peeps!

You know something?  I'm one lucky kitty.  

I mean, just LOOK at this picture.  I'm shiny & healthy & my furs look GORGEOUS.  My uniocular viewer is clear and pretty and always wide open, looking for anything I can find (and any mayhem I can raise!)  I have a fiefdom kingdom over which I preside (and here I am over the weekend, surveying the pawrents' bedroom portion and finding it acceptable).  

I even have ART!  (See those kitties behind me? Yes, I'm one cultured feline.)

On top of that, I have the best Mom&DadKatt on earth.  They love me to pieces, and MomKatt is my hooman chew-toy and dispenser of laptime, lovins, nibbles, and, yes, I suppose I can count visits to the "V E T" as a positive 'cause that means she wants to keep me healthy and happy, so she dispenses that, too ... not to mention lots of play time.  And did I mention I can chew on her?

So I think I'll just spend some time today surveying my home and thinking how happy I am to be here.  It's just that kind day.

It's good to be me.

    We think you have your Mom firmly under your control now Selina but we wonder if you should curtail the chewing on her as it could be rather ouchie.

    What a PURRfect kingdom you rule there Selina. But here, our Mom does not appreciate us chewing on her. Use too it was just one here and there. Then Cali Ann started nipping her, now more of us are chewing on her. (I'm beginning to think they like to hear me yelp.)
    She is trying to figure out how to stop it; let us know how you get your Mom to allow you to continue. We may need new suggestions. MOL Bow Tye Bush & Furs <3

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
