Word-y Wednesday - Breakfast! And Purrs For Furriends .. and Happy Administrative Prof's Day!

Morning Peeps!

As you can see in the above picture, I breakfasted with MomKatt this morning (as I normally do, plus I was all over her in her chair at the dining room table, but she couldn't get a piccy of me doing that 'cause I was ... well, all over her!).  She's reading Vol. 4 of that big Lyndon Johnson biography, and you can just see the edge of her breakfast plate there under the book.  So I decided to crunch some kibble while she read.  We're purr-fect companions in the mornings!

Also, we're sending out big purrs to little Milou, brofur to Texas, A Cat In New York, who's one of our blogging buds.  Milou's having some trouble & isn't feeling well (urinary infection & inflamed intestines) so please, if you feel so inclinded, stop by Texas' page & wish Milou a "get well soon".

Lastly, I'd like to wish all our typists a Happy Administrative Professional's Day.  Let's face it, kitties:  with no opposable thumbs, we'd be lost without our typists.  They help us with our blogs, keep them decorated, take pictures and videos of us and basically just want to brag to the world about ... US!  I mean, they've pretty much dedicated themselves to this and, though they may not type for us as often as we'd like, I'd like to thank them for doing it in the first place (and keeping up Facebook pages and everything else.)

So I hope MomKatt does a little celebrating later on today.  But this doesn't mean you can be late with my gooshy fuds, MomKatt.

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
