Radio Silence!


Hello, all, Morticia here!  

As you can see, I'm meowing.  Something I'm doing a lot more of recently.  (Hey, a girl has to let the hoomans know what's on her mind, right?)   

Anyway, right now, I'm meowing a message to all Selina's fans & readers.

Your favorite uniocular kitty is taking a vacation.  Well, actually, her typist, otherwise known as MomKatt, is taking a vacation.  But they'll both be back quicker than you can say, "Fancy Feast!"  Or "Litter Locker!"  Or ... "HAM!" 

(Did I mention I love HAM!?)

Selina says to be sure to tell you all to miss her, OK? 

Now, I'm going to go over here & meow at Peppers.  He doesn't listen, but I'll make some noise at him anyway.

PS - In Selina's absence, *I* will be accepting all HAM! donations ... of course I'll save some for her when she returns ... of COURSE I will ... maybe ... if she gets back quickly ... I mean, what if it SPOILS?!

    Morticia we are pleased to meet you - usually Selina comes to meow to us - purrhaps we should say meow at us as she always has so much to say and we can't get a meow in edgeways!! Take care.

    Whoa! I miss her already. I hope MomKatt gets to see Mariano in Seattle. The game will be on too late for TW to stay up. That's what she always says but she winds up staying up unless they're getting killed. Be safe.

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. I've always been a big (not fat, just big) beautiful one-eyed thang, as y'all know, so this wasn't normal. It's that MomKatt radar - I know all of y'alls pawrents have it. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
