ManKatt Monday & Bed Full 'O Luck!

We have read that it is considered bad luck to put a hat on a bed.

But is it bad luck to put CATS on a bed?

We think not.  The pawrents' bed must be full of GOOD LUCK because look at all the black kitties on it!

From left to right:  Morticia (on body pillow), Man Ray (in front of the headboard) and Rachel (on the sheet in front of MomKatt's stuffed Pusheen).

Where am I, devoted followers?  I was on the sofa in the living room, Sunday-snoozing.  Rachel loves to paw Sasha's sheet that MomKatt keeps on the bed for her.  I think she thinks she'll find something under it if she paws it long enough.

In other news, my brofur, Peppers, had his "well kitty" exam on Sat., and came through with flying colors.  Even better news that day was that he has lost 2 pounds, or 10% of his body weight, which MomKatt was trying VERY hard to get him to accomplish.


But he was less than thrilled about the trip for awhile, and hid under the bench in the exam room.  Her camera, however, soon found him and he had calmed down.

I must say that I have one handsome brofur!

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
