Meowlo, Peeps!

It's been about one month since "those kittens" came downstairs permanently, and Yours Truly is, at last, really making my peace with them.

Well, sort of.  I'm better than I was, anyway, let's just say that.

As can be seen here, this morning, as Rachel & I were playing with MomKatt's fleece jacket.  (Boy this stuff is WARM!  I hated to abandon it when MomKatt told me she had to get me off of it to put it on and wear it to work!)

I'm practically camouflaged by the coat, which is also black.

We got a lotta black around OUR house!  MOL

Also, we'd like to wish EVERYONE a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, since we won't be around.  Mom&DadKatt are spending the day at his sister's house.

We are so thankful for you all, and thankful to have your friendships.  Stay warm and cuddle kitties after you eat!  Between the turkey and the cuddles/snuggles, it'll be Nap Time before you know it!

    Fleece is awesome! Maybe you should get your own fleece blanket for Christmas, Selina! Just a thought... in the meantime, happy Thanksgiving!

    Hang in there, Selina. You'll get used to Rachel & Ray, in time. Once everyone is more comfortable with each other, you can thwopp them as needed to keep them in line.

Dearest Furrends: My scribe is typing this entry with a truly heavy heart. Yesterday, I made my journey to The Rainbow Bridge. My doctor, Dr. Daniel, told me in November 2023 that I had something called a "mass" that she could feel when she did something she called "palpating" my underside during my annual well-kitty exam. It didn't hurt - it just felt like she was squeezing me a little. She told Mom&DadKatt, who were there with me (of course) and suggested several options. They decided to start giving me a medicine called prednisone (I called it YUCK ). Dr. D said it would really boost my appetite. Boy, did it! See, MomKatt noticed I'd lost a fair amount of weight in a couple of months prior and she knew something was wrong. Bag Day!

Meowlo, Peeps! Today is Bag Day and Keaton is demonstrating some of the many different things he can do with an ordinary paper sack from the grocery store. He claims it's environmentally responsible, as he's upcycling a natural resource. Do you buy that? Whatever ...  Anyway, here he is.  As you might notice, he enjoys a variety of bags from different places (i.e. he has no taste and will take ANYTHING that comes along.)  This one is from Lowe's Foods grocery store.    This one is from Jersey Mike's subs. We all loved that one because it smelled soooooo good but he wormed his under it and none of us could get in.       We never got into it and in the end, it's cool because MomKatt got a hilarious photo out of it! (We have NO clue what he's doing in there.  Doesn't he have a great butt, though??)   Uh oh ... bag change! He's got the one MomKatt stole from Ed McKay's used bookstore!    At least he can't tear that one up ... ...

Report From Sick Bay

Howdy peeps, First off, THANK YOU so much for everyone's concern, thoughts, messages.  It means so much to me & MomKatt (and DadKatt).  A short update. As you read in the previous entry, Dr. Lofgren said I had a "fever of unknown origin" (and that I also weigh a nice, solid 11 lbs.).  He said, in a cat as young as I, these usually are caused by just something I've picked up.  He noted that I hadn't lost any weight, and that my gums were nice & pink, so those were good signs.   He gave me antibiotics in a shot and Sub-Q fluids yesterday and, when MomKatt picked me up, my temp was down from 104.2 to 103.  (He told her normal was 100-102.)  I ate my gooshy food once I got home and spent all night on MomKatt's lap on the sofa - I WENT to the sofa MYSELF this time, she didn't have to carry me into the living room.  *I* knew where I wanted to snuggle!
