Peppers Still Not Well

Hi, Selina Peeps.  MomKatt here with a Peppers update:

Still won't eat - not even the morsel of FF like he's eaten earlier in the week. Turned his head at it both last night and this morning. So it's back to the vet at 4 PM today to give him a B-complex shot as an appetite stimulant. Apparently, the cortisone shot didn't do the trick in that capacity on Wed.

He tried to poop day before yesterday but only manged one ball about the size of a quarter, and he tried to throw up after I got him home from the vet Wed., but nothing was produced. This morning, I noticed his back legs were a bit wobbly, so he's weak from not eating, or becoming that way. My vet isn't open tomorrow so I had to do something today. I'm hoping this does the trick over the weekend but am still going to get some baby food on my way home this afternoon to pick him up. Please keep purring for my boy! Selina & I appreciate it!

Laura

PS - This is a pic of Peppers and Selina, who's in the round hide-away gazing up at him and probably in wonder that he fits - barely - on the top of the cat tree!

  5. Again we agree with da tabbies.
When Georgia was not eating or pooping she went to the Vet.
She had some enemas and the poop was not coming out.
She still did not eat or poop so the Vet took an X-ray.
At first , it looked like a mass(they thought it could be cancerous).
She took a sample and sent it to the lab. They said it was fecal matter!
That is how badly she managed to become constipated.
This poop was in her small intestine!
We suspect that Julie was attacking her in the litter box, and as a result,
Georgia tended to "hold it", causing her issues.
We purr it is something like this.
We do not want Peppers to be sick.
    BIG purrs to him!
    Purrs Georgia and Julie,
    Treasure and JJ

  7. We are so sorry that Peppers still isn't doing well. We have been keeping up with your post on the email and sending healing purrs. You might try getting some cat milk, for some reason when Socks isn't well he will drink that when I can't get him to eat anything else.

Did they take x-rays of Peppers, it sounds as if he may be injured internally.

  8. They have not taking xrays yet, as my vet wanted to try the simple, cost effective approach first. They are like that because they realize not everybody is made of money. Plus we hooked that feeding him baby food would work. They have been over him and can't find anything wrong with him. His blood work was perfect. He did say yesterday that when he took his temperature, the thermometer came out with a little poop on it. He thinks he might have a touch of diarrhea. If he's not better by Monday Dr B said to call and bring him in. I've taken off work that day.
