One Eye on the Future

OK ... I don't mean to yowl on about my recent ... ahem ... "developments" in the fur department ... but I *was* quite shocked at MomKatt's discovery.  I mean, you walk by mirrors every day without noticing a thing has changed, then suddenly ... BAM!  You notice something or someone says, "Hey, when did you get THAT?" And you realize that things are not quite so cool anymore. So my MomKatt's quite the film buff, particularly when it comes to classic horror movies, and she's been trying to make me feel better by saying that purr-haps with my new ... what shall we call them ... accents?  flecks?  (humph ... don't fancy that last one.  Makes me sound like I'm covered in dust or wood shavings or something) ... OMC ... Look ... just LOOK! No, not at how shiny my fur is in this picture - look CLOSER !  Do you SEE them?!?!? Those ... WHITE HAIRS?!?! MomKatt took this picture of me yesterday, then she noticed & said, "Selina, look at all your white hairs!" I am MOST distressed.  WHERE in the name of Morris did they come from?  Stress?  I can't blame Boudicca, she's out of my world now & in the basement where she belongs. Oh no ... a terrible thought ... could it be ... Is THIS the punishment I get for "outing" Morticia the other day about her two white whiskers?  As Nerissa says, MOUSIES!  Heck, I was only picking on her about it ... I didn't mean anything by it ... How has she had a paw in this?  Gosh, 'Ticia ... I'm really sorry ...  Ack!  Don't LOOK at me like that ... *Comes in, starts coffee* Meowlo, Peeps!  Guess ya'll thought we'd fallen through the litterbox!  Well, it *has* been a pretty trying time around my place lately.  MomKatt hasn't really felt like typing for me, and I haven't pushed her.  But today I told her that maybe it would help her to type for me.  I didn't even complain when she pointed the iPhone flashy thing & took some up-to-date snaps of me (see below) doing my mawnin' thang. Been almost a month since my brofur, Sharif, made it to The Bridge.  He's doing well up there, making friends & hanging with our other sibs that have blazed the trail.  MomKatt feels better about him - she knows she did what she had to do and, while that doesn't make it hurt any less, she's grateful that he's out of his discomfort. The rest of us are fine.  I'm out of my Forta-Flora & we're anxiously awaiting shipment today (!!).  I've discovered that stuff's so tasty that I don't...

Meowlo peeps. Quick update, since I've not written in a few days.  My oldest brofur, Sharif, experienced a RAPID onset of acute kidney failure over the last week and Mom&DadKatt had to help him to The Bridge on Monday.  Needless to say, they are both very upset.  Sharif was their first cat, 16-3/4 years old, they got him one month after they got married - so he'd been with them throughout their entire married life up to his death.  MomKatt's taking it pretty hard - and this was to be their vacation week attending some races they'd both been looking forward to at VIR nearby (Virginia International Raceway) w/company coming in from Seattle. So they are still doing that, with MomKatt going back & forth from the house to the track to take care of us ... but there was nothing they could've done for him, his path downhill was SO fast - even from the time that MomKatt took him to the vet Mon. morning for a mini-panel blood workup until she & DadKatt got the...
