Meowlo, peeps! Guess what today is?? MY GOTCHA DAY! Yep. It's also DK's birthday (psst ... he's 60!  MK says she can't believe he's that old. MOL MOL) Brian from "Brian's Home" took this picture of me when he put the post on his blog searching for someone to adopt me (of course, MK was seduced right away, by my beauty AND my story).   MK drove to Charlotte NC on this day EIGHT YEARS AGO (can you believe???) and picked me up at the hotel where my foster lady was waiting. A REALLY bad thunderstorm happened the whole way home to Reidsville (where we lived at the time). The drive home was AWFUL but I was VERY brave. Laura and Taffeta Rose sent me a message today on my highly-neglected blog, saying they knew I was out there, somewhere, and asking for a post. I'm glad you did, ladies. It *has*  been too long and MK and I *have* been ... well, slack (she has, anyway. She's the one with the thumbs, not me!)  We've been keeping track with a few of you over the last few months when we have been able to. But it's time for my COMEBACK! So, while MK transcribes right now, as you can see the Carter tanning bed is open, and I really must get back to my tanning. Meowlo Peeps!! First, a warning: The following blog post contains images that may not be appropriate for kittens.  There was a 'nip party recently. Nearly everyone was there. I sent MK in to take notes and incriminating pictures because I thought it was time for a "true crime" blog entry. As with most crime, things start out simply, innocently. A few curious cats see something and they investigate. Then THIS starts to happen: "We'll just TRY it ... that won't hurt, will it? We can stop anytime we want." Oh yeah? Sadly, this is a myth. As MK snapped more evidence with the flashy-thing, events started to get a little out of paw.  Tempers began to fray over "stash" ownership. Morticia: "Why, you little ...!" Happy Thursday peeps!! It's such a beautiful day here today - MK says spring is here! She's very excited. She's been very jealous of us being able to sunbathe whenever we want and she can't because, sometimes, it's sunny but not warm enough for her to go to our pool. Tama and the gang at The Poupounette have really inspired me. I already have the sunbathing thing down pat cat but those Abys et al are MASTERS and MISTRESSES OF ... THE DANGLE! So after much practice (I have to do it at night when MK isn't around with that clicky-thing. Didn't want any pics until I had it PERFECT.) And .... ta da! All 'dose man-katts out there are fogging up their pawrents' laptops right about now. Here is my dangle.  It's sexy, yet casual - nonchalant, even. Virtually SCREAMS "laid back blackie".
