One Eye on the Future

Meowlo peeps. Here I am?  What am I doing? I'm thinking.   Anyone that knows my MomKatt knows she's just in total love with a guy named Warren Zevon.  Now, I have to listen to his music quite a bit, along with MomKatt's "assistant" warbling (and there's one song where she howls like a ... well, a werewolf MOL).  It's a strain on a kitteh's ears, lemme tell ya. But she played one the other day that didn't involve howling and she told me what it was about.  I liked it, and she's already left it on Facebook as her New Years message to her peeps.  I'd like to leave it with you - a video and the lyrics.  It's called "Don't Let Us Get Sick" .   I think we can both say that the words say how we feel on this New Year's Eve as we think about all of you and your support and love and friendship in 2015.  We wish all of you hoomans and kittehs alike a great 2016 with lots of 'nip and treats and love and caring.

Meowlo Peeps and Merry Catmousie! We FINALLY got to open our Secret Paws gifts last night and they were from the very handsome Spike William !   I had never met him before so now I hope we become blog buddies! We REALLY loved our prezzies and got busy investigating and playing right away! Look at all these packages!  I didn't know where to start.  Humm .... MomKatt unwrapped them for me and the festivities began! "It's like winning the Cat Toy Lotto!" Check all this out.  I love that so much of it all was pink and black.  After all, they are my racing colors!  (And see the cute new fleece bed Mom&DadKatt got me?  It's really, really soft.) Meowlo Peeps! Our Secret Paws package came this weekend!  MomKatt has said we can't open the presents 'til Xmas Eve (they will be visiting our paternal g'mother on Xmas Day, so they open their presents to each other and us the night before.) WE CAN'T WAIT 'TIL WE CAN SEE IT ALL!   Meanwhile, I had a little bit of a bad day yesterday - something spooked me Sat. night and no one could find me Sunday morning.  MomKatt knew something was wrong when I wasn't at the bedroom door waiting with the others for the pawrents to awaken and come out.  DadKatt finally found me - I was hiding in the stacks of big moving boxes upstairs - I felt very safe and concealed there.  MomKatt talked me out of there and petted and re-assured me.  Soon I was running around like normal and had a relaxing nap. Meowlo, Peeps! We are very excited today.  MomKatt just put in the tracking number for our Secret Paws purrson and ... it says it's been delivered!!!  We are hoping to see a post soon on the SP blog saying they have received the goodies! Since there isn't much news to tell right now, I decided to give the blog space to my sisfur, Sasha.  Poor thing, MomKatt said she felt overlooked so I said, "I'll fix that!"  MomKatt helped me take these pictures of her last night. She is showing her right side in the first pic, then she decided that you gentle readers should see her other side, so she flopped over about two seconds after MomKatt took the first picture.   We think she looks very cute and she's a very sweet, gentle cat. Meowlo, peeps! We are all excited around here - MomKatt helped us get our Secret Paws packages put together and mailed today!!!  We're so excited and will be most anxious to see what happens when they receive the special box!  This has been our first Secret Paws participation, and we've had a great time doing it.  I think this will be a seasonal thing! I was "Package Decoration Inspectress No. 12".  Here I am, ensuring that the tissue paper was the perfect shade of green.  I also chose the little Santa bag containing ... shhh! MomKatt, careful where you put that tape gun!  It's got TEETH! Then I let Rachel help - here, she's checking the tissue paper to determine how well it crinkles, in both texture and sound considerations.  She deemed it exemplary. She wanted to chew on one of the corners. And ... as always ... there's gotta be That Kitten .  Honestly.  She was NO help.  In fact, I had to tell her most emphatically that this was not

Morning, peeps! Since I've lived with MomKatt, she's taken a great many photos of me - some simply stunning, some she's deemed not representative of my beauty and my shiny furz. But in all these years, she's NEVER gotten a pic of me with my tongue stuck out.  So last night, sitting happily in our my new bed (it's SUPPOSED to have been a Xmas present for everyone me, but it had to pass muster first) I turned and finally gave her a small, tidy raspberry.  Merry Christmas, MomKatt! Morning peeps! MomKatt tried to take new pics of me last night but she said I was "too dark".  She couldn't get a photo that didn't look only like a sleek, shiny black lump of fur!  MOL  (Harrrrumph!  "Lump" ... REALLY!) So she snapped Rachel instead and, since you can actually see her EYE and not just black fur I agreed to have her host today's blog with her picture. As you can see from the previous entry with me on the boxes, EVERYONE likes to hang out here on the various boxes.  And this chair.  That entire section is great for kitty overlooks! Purrz! Selina  

Meowlo peeps!  I'm having MomKatt type in red today because ... IT'S THE HOLIDAYS!  She spells it "holidaze" ... maybe your hoomans do the same thing? Anyway,  As you can see, I'm sitting on LOTS of boxes.  They are in our dining room and they are boxes MomKatt's packed up for our move next May!  In between now and then, they make purr-fect balconies for me to perch on and spot that silly Tortie kitten creeping up on me.    I'm in the best location, as from here, no matter WHERE she approaches from, I'm ready! I am VERY excited about my Secret Paws, too!  MomKatt's helping me get all my prezzies for mine together and we're going to mail it THIS WEEKEND!  It's going a long way away so we want to make sure my SP gets it in plenty of time for The Big Day!   So, peeps, stay well Happy Monday and I'll be meowing at you soon!
