One Eye on the Future

Friends, Romans, fellow kitty bloggers!   I feared that I had plateaued. Recently, I discovered that, as a meaningful sparring partner, poor Pink Bed had rather lost his charms for me.  I still lay in him, on him, across him, daily asserting my dominance over his carnation-hued fuzziness and all that ... but, as far as any type of meaningful challenge to my fighting prowess, I was rapidly finding him to be SERIOUSLY lacking.  I mean, it's like Rocky Balboa taking on ... oh, I don't know ... a three-year old little girl, or a piece of wet spaghetti ...  No, to constantly improve her training, a girl must continue to challenge herself.  MomKatt's running & working out have taught me that since I've been here and, like her, I've discovered I'm really not happy when I've bested something only to discover that there seems to be nothing on the horizon more challenging to move up to. MomKatt & I are trying to learn how to do more things with this blog of mine, so we thought we'd use a YouTube link to a cool video of my gorgeous kitty pal, Sparkle, struttin' her stuff on the (very narrow!) catwalk! Sparkle , girl, you ROCK!  I hope this works! PURRS! Selina

First ... a little nomming ...  (MomKatt calls this our "hooman flesh" playtime): Then, I watched a little TV ("Foyle's War" on streaming Netflix) ... After all that, I prepped to take a nice, long Lap Nap while MomKatt read: All in all, a totally nonproductive Sunday well spent by ME! Oh! here's the "after" photo of the "hooman flesh" part of the afternoon ... Clearly, MomKatt was DELISH! Hummm ... today is DadKatt's last "stay-cation" day at home ... wonder if he tastes as good as MomKatt does?  I might just have to investigate that after he eats his lunch then falls asleep for his afternoon kip on the sofa!  (He never intends to fall asleep - or at least, what's what he claims.)  He is particularly vulnerable at these times, I have discovered. Meowlo, peeps! Fur-st, I hope everyone had a good 4th holiday. My nutty 'rents actually went to a BASEBALL game last night - yes, OUTSIDE!  IN THE HEAT!  MomKatt said the flags at the park weren't even stirring.  They left right after the game, not even staying for the fireworks.  It was just awful, she said.  And for HER to say that, it must've been pretty bad!  But they had fun anyway, and my Aunt MaryLee came over & I met her for the first time!  I was a little shy - I let her pet me for a little bit, then I hid behind the sofa in the living room.  MOL  (I'm not playing hard to get, I AM hard to get!  MOL)  She thought I was very pretty - she met 'Ticia and Peppers, too.  (She spent the day with the 'rents.  I think beer was involved later on in the afternoon.  MOL) AND ... as of Tuesday evening, OUR AC IS WORKING!  Can you believe - that one part, the "motor blower", cost nearly $1,300!!  Not o...

Hi Peeps! Not a whole lot to meow about today.  As you can see, I'm taking it EASY, since it's Sunday.  Pink Bed's gotten quite a workout this morning. DadKatt just came in to say some "severe thunderstorms" are heading our way, apparently, this afternoon.  We just hope they hop over us & don't affect our power!  Our window AC unit is still working its little heart out - Monday, our regular AC will be fixed, they told MomKatt on Friday.  I don't believe them.  Apparently a hooman ordered two parts and only one of them showed up that afternoon.  SOMEone dropped the ball but MomKatt doesn't think it was the two techs working on the problem 'cause they've been REALLY nice & helpful when they've come around.  (She says Sears' dispatching people, however, "suck ".  Her word.)
