Meowlo, Peeps! It's been about one month since " those kittens " came downstairs permanently, and Yours Truly is, at last, really making my pea ce with them. Well, sort of.  I'm better than I was , anyway, let's just say that. As can be seen here, this morning, as Rachel & I were playing with MomKatt's fleece jacket.  (Boy this stuff is WARM !  I hated to abandon it when MomKatt told me she had to get me off of it to put it on and wear it to work!) I'm practically camouflaged by the coat, which is also black. We got a lotta black around OUR house!  MOL Also, we'd like to wish EVERYONE a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow, since we won't be around.  Mom&DadKatt are spendin g the day at his sister' s house. We are so thankful for you all, and thankful to have your friendships.  Stay warm and cuddle kitties after you eat!  Between the turkey and the cuddles/snuggles, it'll be Nap Time befor e you know it! Purrz! Selina & M

ManKatt Monday & Bed Full 'O Luck!

Image
We ha ve read that i t is considered b ad luck to put a hat on a bed. But is it bad luck to put CATS on a bed? We think not .  The pawrents' be d must be full o f GOOD LUC K because look at all the black kitties on it! From left to right:  Morticia (on body pillow), Man Ray (in front of the headboard) and Rachel (on the sheet in front of MomKatt 's stuffed Pus heen ). W here am I, devoted followers?  I was on the sofa in the living room, Sunday - snoozing.  Rache l loves to paw Sasha's sheet that MomK att keeps on the bed for her.  I think she thinks sh e'll find something under it if she paws it long enough. In other news, my b rofur, Peppers, had his "well kitty" exam on Sat., and came through with f lying colors.   Even better news that day was that he has lost 2 pounds, or 10% of his body weight, which Mo m Katt was trying VERY hard to get him to accomplish. But he was less than thrilled about the trip for awhile, and hi d under the ben

Pre-Dinner Dialogue

Image
Morticia:  I wish MomKatt would hurry up and make with the gooshy f ood.  I'm hungry! Selina:  You're always hungry, Morticia. Morticia :  Yes, but I'm always ESPECIALLY hungry at 5:40 PM every day.  Why doe s she have to scoop th e litter boxes before she feeds us? Selina:  'Cause she likes getting the "worst" chore over with first. Morticia:  Well , I certainly don't think it would KILL her to feed us first.  Then she can scoop those old boxes while we chow down. Selina:  MomKatt's very ... methodical.  Haven't you noticed?  Heck, y ou've lived here longer than I have. Morticia:  Are you insinuating something, Se lina? Selina:  Who, ME?  No, of course not! Morticia:  'Cause if you are ...  Selina:  No, I'm not - honest!   You 're in your prime, like MomKatt.  You're both 48 in hooman years. Morticia:  ( looks at Selina thoughtfull y)  Weeeellll ... OK.  If you say so.  Maybe if I meow louder ... ( takes a d

FEETZ!

Image
Meowlo Peeps! I was taking my morning bath this morning in Pink Bed: Wh en I said to myself, "Self?  You ha z cute feetz!  And your toes?  Oh .  JUST too cute to resist.  You should show them to MomKatt! "  (See me admiring them in this picture?) And so, as you can see, I did. "And the MomKatt oo'ed, and ahh'ed, and fawned overeth them, and the MomKatt did grin, and the MomKatt fetcheth the camera with which to document the sacred feetz, and she stood, and she clicked and da feetz wuz immortalized ." And now I/we is showing dem (and my aforesaid cute and adorable toes) to the world.     Here endeth the lesson.  Feastest thy peepers.  Wanna see 'em again? Once is NOT enough, is it? Purrz! Selina

WHOSE Bed Is This Again? And Some Sad News ...

Image
Mornin' Peeps! I'll just let this photograph spe ak for itself.  I t's of ME, this morning. As you can see, I've regained Pink Bed.  Reunited! And now to another not-so-pleasant topic. MomKatt & I received some sad news last nig ht from M s. Jenna, the lady in South Carolina who helped rescue me and who pulled May Ray and Rachel from that awful trailer park.   Jenna Emailed to MomKat t: "I will be trapping there [the trailer park] soon to euthanize any other s [cats] I find there.  The His panics are killing all the cats I TNR'ed [at that location] with rat poi son, drowning and shooting. There are three left of the seventeen I returned ...  It is so hard to see their faces in the tr ap, trusting that I will do the right thing and protect them, and then I hav e them PTS.  Life can be so cruel.  Blindness is what saved the two of them [Ray and Rachel] or at least entropi on issu es, which made them more vulnerable and subject to human touch.

Uh oh ...

Methin ks "T he Great Kitten Ta ke-Over " completed itself this weekend, as demonstrated by these two i ncriminating photographs: Yes, indeed.  This is NOT Selina, but Her High ness, The Princess Rachel occupying Pink Bed!! Trouble may be brewing in The Carter Clowder ... Actually, Seli na didn't appear to let it bother her much. But, as I think you'll agree, judging from these photographs, I can officially consider Ray and Rachel's domi cil ic (pronounced "Doe-mah-cil -ic", yes, it's a word now ) take-over to be complete. The humans are but Their Humble Sla ves .......

A Black Cat and Her Writer

Image
Meowlo, Peeps! As you can see, I've re-seized control of MY B LOG f rom those KITTENS, and my T ame Writer (i.e. MomKatt) is ready to assist me in taking back what was once totally my territory. Lap top? Check. Is it p lugged in ?  Turned on?   Che ck and check. Mouse? Check . Honkin' big gargan tuan-sized coffee from Sheetz? BIG check.  That's for The Tame Writer, not me.  I'll just have so me Cat Sip. S o.  The deal is, MomKatt is a writer.  And this is a good thing, being that I'm a blogging one-eyed kitty with no thumbs.  I cannot type.  I have no interest in typing.  I don't like Microsoft Word.  And I don't have to do or like any of those things, since MomKatt does this for me.  (But Word irritate s her, too.)   Life is good. Now some of you probably don't know this, but MomKatt is a writer in her own right.  Kinda.  Well, she wants to be.  No, that' s not right , either. OK let's try this again . IN THE RECEN
