WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

LAPS! Rediscovered! And my brofur ...

Well.  Good news on the lap front - at least we think it is.  I came downstairs, after MUCH coaxing from MomKatt, last night to recline in her lap for nearly 2 hours before she & DadKatt went to bed!  My nemesis, Feisal, behaved himself for a change and stayed in his Siamese Rescue "Millie" bed and did not interfere with me, even when I crossed from the sofa to hop onto the table in front of the window & check out the birds. But, in leaping from the cat tree to MomKatt's lap/sofa initially, something weird happened and I fell on top of Morticia, who was in the heated cat bed next to the easy chair in between the tree & the sofa!  I was really sorry - I didn't mean to scare the fur off of her.  It just wasn't her night - later on, Peppers dislodged her from the same window seat that I had been on watching the birds eat Oliver's dry food from his bowl on the porch.  Poor Morticia ...  MomKatt hopes to get me back into her lap tonight wh...

Furry Friday - and MORE followers!

Morning peeps!  Happy FURRRRIDAY! Just a quick note, 'cause there's nothing much else to report around here today, Feisal seems to be feeling better this morning.  Not much, but a little.  MomKatt says she wishes he wouldn't "scare her" like that, but she reckons he just has decent days and days where he just does NOT feel good, and acts accordingly.    Thank you ALL for your purrs & concern & notes.  We really do appreciate them!  I just wish he'd leave ME alone!  MOL I was a wiggly, squiggly thing this morning - MomKatt picked me up for my usual morning cuddle under her chin and I was having NONE of it!  I wanted to wiggle and shake, so I leaped out of her arms onto the ottoman!  You can't hold ME back!  But then she sat down and I relented, 'cause I really DID want to be petted, don'cha know, just where and how *I* designated, not where anyone else wanted me to be petted. Sometimes, a girl's just got to assert her...

Please purr ....

Hi peeps, Could all of you maybe purr a little for my crazy brofur, Feisal?  He's not doing too well.  Short story long, he's either got lymphoma or IBS, MomKatt doesn't know which, but for a long time his poops haven't been normal and he's been on Prednizone, because MomKatt didn't want to put him through all kinds of invasive procedures - and possibly more - to find out what was wrong.  (He's 10 years old and has lost a good amount of weight over the last few months.)   But his "quality of life" is still good, or at least it HAS been; he still persecutes me, he still eats very well, he's still fairly active & wants attention, wants to be petted, etc. But he's recently lost more weight ... MomKatt still has him on the Pred (transdermal) and slippery elm to try to soothe his intestines so he doesn't feel like he has to "go" quite so much.  His poops haven't been solid for a very long time and he really doesn't...

'TICIA TUESDAY!

Image
Morning Peeps! Well, it's " 'Ticia Tuesday" so here is a picture of my sisfur, Morticia, all tucked in her carrier & ready to visit far-flung places (i.e. the vet - which she HATES): Isn't she beautiful?  Her fur is so glossy - almost as shiny as mine is!  She's small, though, like me, though her body is more cobby, whereas I'm slender & reedy.  But she's quite svelte and any mankatt would be proud to have her (but the handsome Hudson claims that privilege - here's their wedding picture, I hope I haven't shown this yet): He's got his tongue out - isn't that funny?  MOL  He's like my DadKatt - a bit irreverent!   Morticia really *does* want to be my friend, I think, and lately I've not been hissing at her as much.  She & Peppers, my other black kitty sibling, both come running as a "posse" whenever Feisal starts bugging me.  It's kinda funny that they do that, but MomKatt thinks they are tryi...

MEOWY MONDAY!

Image
Ahhhhhhhhhh ... it's good being me.  I mean, really!  Even aside from the fact that "that Feisal" kept coming upstairs yesterday, trying to pester me & get a rise out of me.  I showed HIM.  Plus, MomKatt was on the PC yesterday (very unusual for her on a Sunday) so she made sure to shoo him out of the room.  MY room, thankyouverymuch.  I've noticed that hiding just under the edge of the big ottoman is the best place to POUNCE on him when he comes in and starts giving me a hard time, so whenever MomKatt came back into the room from shooing him downstairs, she just sees my face poking out from under the ottoman, with my eye turned up to her.  I hope she knows that I consider "shooing" to be a vital part of her job of keeping me.  I think she does but, sometimes, with these two-leggers, you just never know. Anyways, I got some lap time yesterday afternoon, late, while MomKatt read her book on the Black Death.  She's got a cool bookmark, to...
