One Eye on the Future

Complaining about winter, are you?  Fed up with the cold drafts coming in underneath the doors in your house? *I*, Selina, have found THE warmest spot in our house.  Now, normally, this contraption is pretty noisy (ours squeaks like a bag of 1,000 raging, cheese-crazed mice) but, when it's finally QUIET ...  OH.  MY.  CAT. This is THE place to snuggle.  MomKatt says it's called a "dryer".  I finally decided I was gonna check this thing out and, before MomKatt could pull the laundry out of it a couple of days ago, I SPRUNG!   (NOTE:  DO NOT spring BEFORE the drying cycle is done, only AFTER .  Otherwise, you'll just end up on top of a pile of soggy, wet hooman clothing.  Ewww!  Trust me, you don't want "wet cat butt" - make that "COLD wet cat butt"!) Anyways, first, I went WAAAAAAAY to the back, where I figured it was the warmest. Then, I wanted to make sure that MomKatt knew I was in there & didn't shut...

Morticia has STOLEN MomKatt's new blankie!  Feisal's breeder gave her a new blankie this weekend for Xmas and 'Ticia has STOLEN it!  Here is PROOF! Boy, she's got some nerve, eh?  MomKatt *was* going to use it on the sofa for when she & DadKatt were/are watching TV but NOOOOOOOO!  Miss 'Ticia put herself on it when it hadn't been in the house 24 hours and meowed, "Mine!" in that way she has!  (I really *must* start aping her technique.  She gets away with murder, that cat does!) Of course, you COULD say, "Well, Selina, you're just cheesed off 'cause it's not on the sofa for YOU to lay on as it covers your MomKatt's lap!  You're not outraged about the theft of property, per se - you're just irritated 'cause you can't sleep on it!" Well, I don't begrudge my sisfur a blankie, do I?  I mean, it's the X-mousie season, after all, so if I harbor thoughts like THAT, Santa Paws won't come, or els...

I have one!  (Courtesy of DadKatt & some store called Total Wine!  MOL) I've tried it both ways (this way and right-side up when I can JUMP into it) and I find that this way, I can tuck myself in as far as I can and watch for other kitties to approach, then LEAP out at them & scare the Bee-Jeezuz out of them!  (This works especially well with Livia, who's about as high-strung as they come!  MOL) (Humm ... hope this doesn't make Santa think I'm a bad kitty.  Really, I'm not!  I'm just playin' .... ) PURRS! MomKatt took this picture of me this morning ... and it turned out VERY funky!  She thinks I'm being possessed by holidays spirits - what do YOU think? I mean, look at my EYE.  And what's up with that glowing spot on the table, there, next to my left side?  It *is* rather reddish ... I hope Santa doesn't think I've been a bad kitty and won't leave me anything!  I'd better stock up on some Fancy Feast to leave out for him Xmas Eve, just as insurance! PURRS! Selina
